At Sacred Valley Health, we believe that everyone has the power to create change. Your support helps us provide lifesaving healthcare education, empower local women, and improve health access in remote Andean communities.
When you donate to Sacred Valley Health, you support programs that train and empower community health workers in remote areas of Peru. Your contribution helps improve healthcare access through education, resources, and collaboration with local communities.
Sacred Valley Health believes that health and education go hand in hand. We actively seek partnerships with organizations that support the growth of our programs and the well-being of our communities.
Our program originally focused on service-learning trips for medical and nursing students, but it has evolved into a sustainable, community-based initiative. We offer customizable experiences that may include first aid training with our staff and promotoras, Quechua and Spanish language classes, cultural exchanges, and workshops on global health and ethical volunteering.
Discover the wisdom of Andean herbal medicine through hands-on learning. Work alongside local women to prepare an herbal balm or tincture, while engaging in conversations about traditional health beliefs. (For cultural learning only; no medical treatments provided.)
This workshop is available as a 2-hour experience in Ollantaytambo or as part of a full-day community excursion to a partner village. Quechua-Spanish-English translation included.

We also offer homestays, Machu Picchu visits, local excursions, language, dance, and cooking classes.
At the moment, we do not have any paid positions available, but we welcome volunteers on an ongoing basis.
We seek professionals with experience or interest in public health, international development, and health education. While fluent Spanish speakers who can commit to at least six months in Peru are preferred, we also consider applicants with lower proficiency if they have relevant skills and are willing to stay longer.
Our team values energy, adaptability, and a positive attitude. Volunteers work in dynamic, resource-limited settings, helping deliver high-quality health education in the Andes Mountains of Peru.
